Cigale 42ft Brimabright Gentleman’s Motor yacht

Description

Registered in 1958 as CIGALE an 11 ton, 42ft, Brimabright Aluminium, Gentleman’s Motor Yacht.

One 5LW Gardner diesel engine remains as is an optional purchase. Ex Gardner engineer discovered the engine is a recommissioned motor engine from a bus in Bristol 1950s when Trams replaced buses. The engine may not have turned over and therefore increases its value.

Cigale was a private commission.
Records strongly suggest Jack Laurent Giles designed Cigale along with her sister ship, Diana II London (registered with Historic Ships UK). His first two vessels using aircraft grade Brimabright aluminium. He went on to build world class power yachts.

Cigale is 11 ton, resting on her wide keel and supported by beach legs.

I’m looking for someone who knows about this style of vessel, sees it’s worth and has passion to take her on.

The engine can be sold separately for £2500
The vessel can be purchased for £9000
