Description

Akwana is an attractive traditional steel -hulled motor  yacht with two 135hp Sabre-Perkins engines. The engines were installed in 2004 and now have only 60 engine hours. She also has a bow thruster and stern thruster. The hull is in excellent condition having recently been over-plated 300mm above the keel as recommended by our surveyor. The whole hull underwater was shot-blasted and painted with a Jotun marine epoxy paint system – two coats of undercoat and two of topcoat.

Since we intended to use the boat on the European waterways, we dismantled the shelter on the flying bridge and intended to replace it with one in canvas. Akwana is ideally suited to the to these cruising grounds – less than 15.0 metres long so she does not require a special survey/licence under ERCD rules. Also, she motors comfortably on one engine on the canals with plenty of power in reserve for the Rhine or the Seine.
