Description

Tugela is a rare custom-built Finesse 27 – a 27ft version of the usual Finesse 24, a classic oak-hulled cutter sailing yacht.

Tugela has been refurbished, she is in good condition and is ready to sail after routine checks.

The vessel comes with:

• Cutter rigged with anodised mast and boom. Stainless steel standing shrouds (2004). Terylene running rigging (2004) Slab reefing to mainsail. Plastimo and sails spar headsail furling systems. Gennaker boom.
• Sestrel steering compass; Garmin GPS; Icom VHF radio with aerial; NASA depth sounder; auto pilot; radar reflector
• a Beta BD722 diesel engine (1998) with a cruising speed 5 knots/maximum speed 7 knots
• safety equipment inc. manual & automatic electric bilge pumps, fire extinguishers, harness, lifebuoy,etc.
• Fully equipped interior with up to 4 berths in 2 cabins
• Ebsco sea toilet,
• Galley with Origo 2-burner spirit stove.
• Taylor Paraffin heater in cabin.

We purchased the boat 2 years ago and have fully refurbished her including:

• Deck repairs (£2800)
• Cabin repairs (£3700)
• Window reseating, glands, epoxy (£1200)
• Repainted deck
• Anti-fouling paint of hull summer 2023

We are now retiring from boat life and would love for Tugela to go to a good home. She is currently located in Hull Waterside and Marina (HU1 2DQ), Berth DD13. Viewings are welcome: apply to Marina office.
